Population First launched Laadli– Mumbai’s Girl Child Campaign on Thursday,
June 9, 2005. The event was hed at the Tata Theatre, NCPA, Nariman Point.
The programme began with an evocative curtain
raiser film. A song by Laadli spokesperson, singer Suneeta Rao and choreographer Shiamak Davar’s dance group 'Dancing Feat' were the other performances. A street play developed specially for the campaign
and directed by Mr. Manjul Bhardwaj of the Experimental Theatre Foundation were also performed.
