| Behaviour Change Communication | Empowering Communities | Motivating the Health Workers |

Population First sees the need to concentrate on encouraging local level initiative, partnership building and opening-up    of communication channels between the various stakeholders. A network with NGOs such as women’s groups, panchayat members and self-help groups should support the Thane project in order to achieve the goals in a more effective and efficient manner.
The success of the project depends on creating a common vision and perspective between all the stakeholders including health service providers, village level workers under various departments, and the community members. Considering the gravity of the issue, the corporates and NGOs should be willing to participate in the social sector and the government is expected to give its commitment to encourage people’s participation in the Thane programme.
